Elbow joint pain could be due to arthritis or fractures involving the elbow joint. More common in elbow joint is tendonitis involving the lateral epicondyle called Tennis Elbow and medial epicondyle called Golfer’s Elbow.
For tendonitis the treatment involves Rest, Ice, Compression (bracing) and Elevation of the limb. Patients will require anti-inflammatory medications. Persistent tendonitis may require cortisone injections around the tendon under ultrasound guidance.
